Shirdi Temple Darshan Timings Explained for Your Convenience

More than fifteen thousand pilgrims reach Sai Temple daily. In the holiday season, their number goes up further. To streamline the things, the temple management has displayed shirdi temple darshan timings on their website. These timings remain the same throughout the year.

The temple is closed at around 11:00 PM and reopens the next morning at 4:15 AM. Although Kakad Aarti starts at 4:30AM, but followers begin to make queues outside the temple from 2:00AM onwards. Many of them do not even sleep the whole night. After holy bath and other rituals, pilgrims are allowed Darshan from 6:00 AM onwards. There is a separate entry for senior citizens but one must first get a pass from the office of the temple management to avail this facility.

For the convenience of people coming from far off places, there are ample arrangements of civil facilities like safe drinking water, washrooms etc. in the temple premises. After Aarti, “Ladoos” are distributed to devotees as “Prasad.” Those who wish to take more sweets for distributing as Prasad among their friends, can buy them at subsidized rates from the sweets shop located inside the temple itself. To keep Mandir premises neat and clean, devotees are not allowed to carry eatables inside the temple. Those desirous of having food can visit “Bhojnalaya” which is walking distance from the temple.

Ample security arrangements are made by the administration to avoid any untoward incident in the temple. Only a fixed number of Pilgrims are allowed to enter inside the Temple, at a time and when Satyanarayan Pooja is going on, devotees are asked to sit in the hall and wait until the ceremony is over.

It is highly recommended that those coming for the first time to the temple must plan their travel according to the shirdi temple darshan timings. In this way, one can also visit other nearby places in the same visit.

Tips to Select the Best Hotel in Shirdi

Shirdi is located in Maharashtra, approximately 275 KM from Mumbai International Airport. Other big cities in its proximity are Nashik, Aurangabad, and Pune. Nashik is located at a distance of 90 KM. Aurangabad that is also having a domestic airport, is 150 KM away and Pune is 220 KM from Shirdi. One can reach Shirdi by train also and the nearest railhead is Shri Sainagar railway station. Saibaba’s temple is just 2 KM from here but not many cities are connected with it. The nearest railway junction is Manmad, at a distance of 60 KM. Most trains have a stoppage here. Although it is not a big city, one can easily find a good hotel in shirdi.

After reaching Shirdi, everybody goes to Saibaba’s temple to take his blessings. Those who have been there even once would fully agree with the statement that it is not easy to have Saibaba’s Darshan during daytime. Either one should visit the Sai temple early morning or in the evening. During the day, one can visit places in the neighborhood like Samadhi Mandir, Dwarkamai, Chawadi, Gurusthan, Jain Kanch Mandir, Khandoba Mandir, Shani Mandir, Ganesh Mandir, Shiv Mandir, and Maruti Mandir.

If one can get a room in a hotel in shirdi, exploring outstation places near Shirdi where most devotees visit, also becomes easy. Most hotels provide taxi on rent for sightseeing. Saibaba’s Mandir closes after Shej Aarti at 11 pm and reopens next morning at 4 am. One Thursdays, Saibaba’s Palki starts from Sai Mandir at 9:15 pm and reaches Dwarkamai at around 9:45 pm.
